Well, it's been a Disney-scrapping day. Up next are a few layouts from Animal Kingdom:

The last of Epcot
Some random layouts
Here are a few adorable ones of Scooter. I have entered a few challenges on a scrap site, and it's caused me to create a few out of the ordinary pages.
I wouldn't be a true scrapbooker if I didn't make a page to mark the historic event from this past week. I watched with hope as we inaugurated our 44th president.

The first of the theme park layouts
More Disney layouts
A few challenge layouts
I've submitted for a few challenges on ScrapMatters. It's sort of a funny concept for non-scrapbookers. Instead of scrapping b/c one has photos, one scraps to fit a topic or certain criteria. Here are my challenge layouts (also I submitted the one with the peach background and ribbons below for a layering challenge):
This was a "roadmap" challenge where the host identifies specific steps for the page, including the sepia photo and adding a quote.
This is an "everyday magic" challenge where the host asks for pages about a special item of clothing that one or one's family wears.
This was a template challenge, where all entries use the same template, but any photos or designs of their choosing.

And even more from Disney
I've done a lot of work this week
I have worked on a lot of pages this week. I am posting them all at ScrapMatters as well. If you are a digital scrapbooker, it is a great place to get ideas and participate in challenges (not to mention cool freebies!).
These are the same photo, but the one with the ribbons was used to enter a layering challenge at ScrapMatters. The black and white one was created per my usual methods.
The pages below were from the WMU Day at the Capitol where students, staff, faculty and friends of Western Michigan University descended on the capitol in Lansing, MI in hopes of showing the importance of WMU in the Kalamazoo community and around the state.

So many places to post
I am trying to decide the best (and easiest!) way to post my layouts. I am also using the gallery at ScrapMatters, so I think I can link to that here. This is a repeat LO, but I'm wondering if I can link from SM. I'm going to try a few new sizes and see if they still work.

Disney dining at its finest
Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you. I have created a layout for the food that we ate on our trip. (I had to take photos to go along with our dining review for the DIS. I'll have to find that link.) So, we ate at a few wonderful places, with Kona Cafe topping our list again this year. The new favorite is also Wolfgang Puck Express. Even for someone as picky as me, I can always find something at WDW that I like. And, I think I only had chicken fingers once this whole trip!!! Progress, people, I'm making progess!

Scooter spring LO's
So, I'm starting to sense that without Scooter, Shawn and Disney, I would have nothing. :) Or at least it seems that way by my photos. Well, if that's the case, so be it. Here are the final two LO's I finished yesterday. In the top LO, Scooter is wearing a red hoodie, personalized with her name on it. (A gift from Luann - visit her store at teatimefriend.etsy.com for other personalized dog items, including bandanas.) The hoodie is the perfect color for Scoot.
Secondly, I snapped a series of shots this summer of Scooter and Shawn playing in the office. I was probably at the computer. Scooter is so fun-loving and playful that I had to document the occasion.
My birthday
More Scooter LO's
Here are a few LO with Scooter from Feb/March 2008. I am realizing that I really should start including credit info (for template, paper, embellishments) on these pages. That's going to take a bit of time, but it really should be done. I will start for anything not yet created. In the meantime, enjoy these!

Another Yacht & Beach Club LO
I do have other interests
While I love Disney, some of you will probably stop reading if I keep posting only Disney LO's. Here is one that shows photos from this past summer. My parents got our entire family kayaks, and we took them out to Eagle Lake (amongst other places). It's close to get to, and there is beautiful scenery along the shoreline when we kayak. These photos highlight some of our best photos taken while kayaking. (If you want to see the photos bigger, just click the photo.)
A few more pages
Well, I'm still learning, but this is fun. Here are the next three pages that I made during my initial attempts to learn the templates and how to create the pages.
My first page
It probably figures that my first digital scrapbook page post will be about Disney. Shawn and I went to Walt Disney World in August/September 2008 with my sister and BIL. We had a fantastic time. We stayed at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club because of the wonderful pool area. While I don't love my paper/photo combination, I decided to keep it because it shows where I began.
Explaining the title
So, in explaining the title... I'm a Disney fan. Make that a fanatic. That is obvious to anyone who knows me. There's nothing more magical than escaping reality, whether it's for a week or for a two-hour animated movie. I've determined that my life needs a little more pixie dust and a little less reality. While I plan to share my scrap pages, I hope to also post about life happenings, and of course, my little Scooter. Talk about a daily dose of pixie dust!
Take two
I started this blog a long time ago to give updates on our house progress. Well... that was over three years ago, and I had only made two posts. I'm going to try and keep this up again. I have recently begun to scrapbook my memories digitally, and I will attempt to put my pages up here. I've always enjoyed the storytelling and pictures-sharing that comes with scrapbooking, and with creating electronic pages, I can more easily share them with family and friends. So, here's my take two. I've enjoyed reading other blogs, so I thought I might give this one a second chance. Plus, I need something to do while I'm waiting for my digital files to download. :)
