(inter)National Scrapbooking day

Well, iNSD has come and gone... I'm a bit late in posting this on May 3. I've been busy buying kits and scrapping for the challenges over at ScrapMatters. I haven't posted a list of layouts in a while, so there are the ones that I've worked on for the challenges (template challenge, etc.):

Also, Maria has some great new photo masks, released just this past week in honor of NSD. The LO below was created using her Capture This: Life set. Check it out here.

Happy Scrapbooking!

First official LO for Scrapmuss

Shawn and I went to Disney's Doorway to Dreams grand opening in Schaumburg, IL in August 2007. It was such great Disney fun! I wanted to use bright color to match the atmosphere at the event (minus the horrendous Dee Vee Cee, of course). {{Disney people will get that reference.}} Scrapmuss Designs' "Paper Blues" kit was the perfect choice.

I'm joining Scrapmuss Designs' CT!!!

I am very excited (and proud) to announce that I have been selected to be a member of the creative team (CT) for Scrapmuss Designs.

Now that the scavenger hunt over on Scrap Matters is complete, we have all been "found." {{{How cool.}}}

Here is the list of other talented ladies on the team:

Congrats to all! I can't wait to work with this talented group! (And maybe learn some Russian too!) ;) Links to their blogs are at the right! Watch for another announcement (with freebies) coming up soon.

It's been too long!!!

I've been working like crazy on more Disney layouts. I haven't posted any in quite some time, so here are some of the newer ones. As always, credits are in the posts at ScrapMatters, DigiShopTalk and Go Digital Scrapbooking, assuming they are posted already.

Thanks for looking!

Here are two LO's from the Chihuly Exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Scottsdale, AZ.

A few from Animal Kingdom

Well, it's been a Disney-scrapping day. Up next are a few layouts from Animal Kingdom:

The last of Epcot

Here are the last two layouts from our 2008 trip from Epcot Center. We went to all four parks, and Epcot was my choice.

Some random layouts

Here are a few adorable ones of Scooter. I have entered a few challenges on a scrap site, and it's caused me to create a few out of the ordinary pages.

I wouldn't be a true scrapbooker if I didn't make a page to mark the historic event from this past week. I watched with hope as we inaugurated our 44th president.

The first of the theme park layouts

With this layout, we finally make it into the theme parks on Labor Day, 2008. We started with Epcot (my choice). Luckily, we got to see everything I wanted in Future World, as seen in the layouts below.

More Disney layouts

Here are a few more Disney World layouts... still stuck on my resort pictures. The actual park ones will be coming up soon!

The first two layouts at the top were taken of each couple in the same place. I wanted to use colors that pulled from our clothing in the photos. They turned even more different than I expected they would.

A few challenge layouts

I've submitted for a few challenges on ScrapMatters. It's sort of a funny concept for non-scrapbookers. Instead of scrapping b/c one has photos, one scraps to fit a topic or certain criteria. Here are my challenge layouts (also I submitted the one with the peach background and ribbons below for a layering challenge):

This was a "roadmap" challenge where the host identifies specific steps for the page, including the sepia photo and adding a quote.

This is an "everyday magic" challenge where the host asks for pages about a special item of clothing that one or one's family wears.

This was a template challenge, where all entries use the same template, but any photos or designs of their choosing.

And even more from Disney

Here are a few of the many I've created from our Walt Disney World trip in 2008. They are posted a bit out of order, but I'm probably the only one who will notice. :)
